Do you always buy things at retail price and directly from the store? Or do you go to places like vintage stores that have god bargains? By the way, I'm a big fan of your blog! It's like a daily necessity for me :)
I usually try to buy stuff for less and I love thrifting! I have a ton of posts on my blogspot with stuff I’ve thrifted :) and thank you!
You are absolutely stunning, and what makes your blog so fantastic is that I feel like we'd be best friends in real life. You have such amazing, classic taste. (Sorry that wasn't a question, just a compliment!)
The Ladurée in New York is mediocre in comparison with the ones in Harrods in London and most of the locations in Paris. It is similar to the Laduree in Monaco (in my opinion) very small and lacking in their fantastic pastries. The Ispahan and Divin are my favorites, and I was so disappointed when I discovered that the New York location wasn't going to offer them. You should definitely make an effort to travel to France. I've been there on five occasions and it is so worth the trip!
Yeah, ours is very small and they don’t have much selection or even an area to sit down in. =( I want to go to France very badly and hopefully I can go soon :)
Yana, I love/hate your blog at the same time. I love all of the apparel, food, and all of the beautiful women/models wearing the clothes, but I hate it because a) I look at stuff, want to buy them, but can't because I don't have anywhere near the kind of cash and b) all of the girls are so freakishly beautiful that I can't even deal with my plain-Jane self. Your blog is like the most amazing boutique ever but I can't go in. Keep doing what you're doing, though, and I will admire from afar. Sigh.
:( I don’t want my blog to make anyone sad! I’m sure you’re just as beautiful as any of these models, as well as kind, smart, and lovely…and all of those things are way better than all of the most beautiful clothes in the world :)
I like how you can afford nice things, but you aren't stuck up about it. Also, how you think that certain designers are over priced. You seem extremely down to earth which is very good!
Haha thank you! Everything designer is overpriced, honestly. I will still buy designer things because I like them and I think they are good quality, but they are obviously priced with like a 10000000000000% profit in mind LOL
Is it bad to feel incredibly guilty when your parents buy stuff for you? I appreciate it but they spent so much to make you happy and stuff. I mean I didnt beg for it or anything, but that you said you liked something and they got it. It makes me feel so bad and wish I said nothing about liking ANYTHING
I think feeling guilty is understandable…in the sense that feeling guilty means you know that you’re not entitled to get stuff and that your parents are doing something nice. However, I think that feeling unreasonably guilty is a waste of energy. You should be grateful, not guilty. Your parents aren’t going to get you things beyond their means and they know their budget, and people who love you want to get you things you like sometimes! If I had unlimited funds, I would love to treat everyone in my life to things they wanted. I don’t think you should be so hard on yourself. If you feel bad, try doing something nice for your parents? Buy them a gift of some sort, cook a yummy dinner, clean the house…make them feel special! :)
how do you feel about Tyler Sheilds photography and him chainsawing and burning a $100 000 red croc birkin and christian louboutin shoes.
I’ve read that the Birkin was fake, and if it was, I’m sure the Loubs were too. Also, I’m pretty sure that’s not what a croc Birkin even retails for. Idk, it was a lame publicity stunt in my opinion lol
Okay, so I have quite a few questions for you. 1: Do you live on the Upper East Side? 2: Do you consider Tiffany and Co. designer? 3: Have you ever been to Paris? 4: What dress size are you? 5: What bra size are you? 6: Have you ever ridden a horse? 7: Have you been to Laduree? 8: What is your favourite song? 9: What do you think of Dior Addict? 10: Who is your favourite model?
1. Nope :) 2. I don’t think jewelry brands count as “designer brands”? I don’t know haha. I think Tiffany & Co. is renowned for making good quality pieces, and it’s one of the premier jewelry brands. 3. Nope :’( take meee 4 & 5 I don’t really feel comfortable sharing haha; my dress size varies with different brands honestly 6. Yes! I love horse back riding. :) 7. Yes! The Laduree in NYC is amazing. 8. I don’t really have a favorite song :P maybe the finale of the 1812 Overture? :) 9. I don’t think I’ve tried it properly so I can’t really say! 10. Gemma Ward and Frida Gustavsson are my favorites! :)
This is an extremely general question. Celine makes many different styles and most of those styles come in different colors/materials/sizes, all of which affect the prices. If you are looking for a specific style, I recommend you check The Purse Forum :)
Gemma Ward, because she was the first model I really ever thought was awesome and I was obsessed with her when I was younger! She is so unique-looking and gorgeous. I also love Frida Gustavsson because I think she’s gorgeous and adorable, and Lindsey Wixson because she is incredibly unique and she looks like a doll. :)
What do you like to do for fun ? Do you ever hangout in the upper west side manhattan ?
I hang out, shop, read, watch films, work out, go on dates with my bf, etc. Haha. Nothing out of the ordinary, I think. And I was actually there recently, we went to see Prometheus in 3D at like 1 AM at the Lincoln Square IMAX theater (which I have heard is the biggest in NYC? Idk but it was huge and kind of scary LOL). :)
Do you have a favorite store ? By the way I love to cook do you ?
The stores my blog is named for are my favorites! :P I’m not a good chef, I can’t really make anything LOL. I can make brownies. And cereal. And microwaveable things. You know, classy meals! Actually though, my boyfriend is quite the chef. He makes AMAZING food all the time. So I’ve actually been learning more because of him :)
Hi Yana :) Just wanted to know if you could help me with this: I always find that even when I'm in a relationship with someone I really love, I find myself wanting to be with other guys as well/lusting over other guys. Do you think these feelings will ever go away and how can I stop them? Do other people in good relationships also feel like that sometimes or is there something wrong with me ): I've broken off so many relationships because I don't want to be unfaithful.
I think it’s normal to notice that other people are attractive. However, I don’t think it’s good if you have an overwhelming desire to act on these attractions to the point where you wind up ending relationships. It’s completely normal to notice attractive people other than your SO. Just because you’re in a relationship doesn’t mean all the sexy people of the world will go into hiding lol! :P But if you feel that you won’t be able to stop yourself from making a move on someone else when you’re in a relationship, that’s worrisome. You should respect your partner and your relationship and not act on these desires.
